"Love is everlasting" and so is Bankruptcy
Message:
Years ago, the 1970's to be approximate and at the same time as when Maharaji wrote that letter, I knew a premie named Paul who came all the way from Iowa to live in a large city with substantial premie community.  Paul was somewhat unusual in that in he had a college degree in chemistry and he landed a fairly decent job with decent pay in his field.  Paul was a very nice and gentle person.  And he was also very devoted to Maharaji.

I had moved to a different community and on a trip to Denver to see Maharaji,  I ran into Paul who now as living in Denver.  Paul was driving an old hearse that he bought for $200.  He proudly told me that he had gone to all sorts of programs around the world seeing Maharaji.  He told me that he had no job and that he had over $10,000 in credit card debt which was used to travel the world to see Maharaji.

And Maharaji was constantly warning us about our MIND during that time.  And the MIND was that thing in you that was saying "Don't quit your job and run off to see Maharaji because how the hell are you gonna live?!!!"  Nevertheless, we were pressured by Maharaji and by our premie peer group to "let go and surrender and experience the grace".

In fact, Maharaji CHALLENGED us to just let go and just become totally irresponsible because nothing mattered and that by his grace we'd be taken care of.  Over and over and over like a mantra.

I suspect that for Paul and many others and myself, for that matter, being encouraged as such, we became conditioned to act irresponsibly and to disregard our own best interests.  And, while I know that the modern premies who are "free and easy" with access to lots of old family family would say that it was all my own fault or it was all Paul's fault. But, that's simply not the case as seen by the evidence of the era that Hilltop faithfully puts up in this above ground forum.  Yeah, that's right.  I know you catboxers are reading this and I know you'll come up out of your hole to comment.  So, I ask you, no, I challenge you to say that what I have said here was and is not the case.  And, in fact, much of the same still persists where premies are still cajoled and pressured to travel all over the world to see Maharaji in places like Amaroo and India.  No, not that much has changed.

Little has changed in the Brave New World of Knowledge.  Yeah, spend all your money and fly to Amaroo and pay $1500 to sleep in a tent for a week.  And food is extra!  And be sure to pay a very healthy non-refundable deposit way up front.

Here's the Congratulations letter that Maharaji signed that was given to people who just received:
